It finally happened. We breached the 2 hour mark. For those who hate how long our episodes are, maybe you can blame writer Chris Roberson for being too interesting, as he talks about Cinderella: From Fabletown with Love and his upcoming title I, Zombie. Or, you can blame Dr. K, since he stops by to talk about his trip with Sims to the infamous South of the Border. Or maybe, just maybe…you can blame the REGGAETON AIR HORN. Either way, it’s an episode of international intrigue and racist tourist traps. And really, how can you shortchange any of that?
The Rundown:
- For more information about Chris and all his works, check out his website. Check out his stuff on Amazon.
- Please check out MonkeyBrain books, and kudos to Chris and Allison for publishing former guest Jess Nevins’ great books.
- Check out Dr. K’s work at his blog. And of course, here’s the pictures of South of the Border at The ISB.
- BIG UPS: Chris takes a swipe at me.
- Sims has been churning out great content at not only The ISB, but also at ComicsAlliance and Heavy.com. Please check them out if you get a chance.
- Check out AdamWarRock.com for some fresh rhymes and dope beats.
This episode rules! You could go on for like, 6 hours Scharpling style and it would be most dope. Also the South Of The Border embedded reporter portion of the show is startling and endlessly fascinating. Thanks for the great show!
Excellent episode as usual, guys. I could listen to South Of The Border tales for hours on end.
Regarding the length of the last few episodes- don’t let the negative comments get you down. I, for one, love having a longer podcast to listen to on long workdays.
Rock on, Ajax crew.
I don’t wanna be a hater, and just so we’re cool I did love this episode and even the discussion of Rom-Coms…but I kinda got sick of the airhorn soon into it 🙂
Please keep the reggaeton air horn constant throughout every episode.
I don’t think I can thank you guys (and Chris Roberson) enough for introducing me to Dean Martin’s Matt Helm films. Listened to the episode this morning and added the boxed set to my Amazon wishlist immediately. Tina Louise, Hydrogen lasers, government flying saucers, Batman’s King Tut as a Chinese villain, and fight choreography by Bruce Lee? How did I not know these films existed! You have brought meaning to my life, WRA!
The hilarity never stops…. Where d’get the sound effects equipment Euge?
This episode made me watch “Bridget Jones” and a succession of Hugh Grant-helmed British romantic comedies. I hope you two are happy…
Great show, these are getting better and more entertaining every time another episode comes out.
This just got posted to Awkward Family Photos.
