It’s a show that’s as familiar as your Sunday Morning Newspaper Comics section, when Josh Fruhlinger of the Comics Curmudgeon chats with the crew. Hear us talk about Funky Winkerbean, Apt. 3G, Beetle Bailey, and why they all suck while we continue to love them. Also, Chris takes on a slew of haters and we talk about Iron Man 2. It’s an Episode 30 blowout!

As always, gentlemen, the tightest 105 minutes in show business!
I’ve loved Comics Curmudgeon since he started doing his Friday feature on Wonkette. Great interview!
Chris, for Pete’s sake, let the nice man hype your CA article in any segment he wants! Important comics journalism + buzz is what makes an Eisner-nominated site an Eisner-winning site!
I’m starting to really miss the omnipresence of the airhorn. Otherwise, fun show as always.
This episode was the cat’s pajamas! ( I will use this term forever now. FOR.EVER. ) And I agree with Euge, great article Sims!
Seeing as how both Funky Winkerbean and Shortpacked! were mentioned on this episode, I thought I might share the hilarious Funky Winkerbean parody strips from Shortpacked:

(this shows up weird, the strip is repeated twice)

I was mildly disapointed you didn’t discuss this Beetle Bailey strip that approaches Funky Winkerbean levels of depression-
http://www.chron.com/apps/comics/showComick.mpl?date=20100502&name=Beetle_Bailey
but as a fan of the Comics Curmudgeon I did enjoy this episode. Speaking of depressing comics, Eugene- do you remember the storyarc where Curtis’ mom was pregnant and then she got violently mugged causing her to have a miscarriage? It was quite well done as far as these things go, but I read the comics before heading to school and it sent me to school in quite a funk.
Also, a guest suggestion- how about getting Leonard F Chikarason and/or Mike Quackenbush on the show?

I’ll second that 😉
Hey Chris, have you ever seen these?

I’m totally going to build Cave-In on Smackdown Vs. Raw for the Xbox 360. :-p
