REVEALED: The true reason Chris Sims traveled to New York last week! DISCUSSED: Crappy winter weather, delicious food, good times! ANSWERED: A whole bunch of listener questions, including quite possibly the most baffling one we’ve ever received! And more in this all-tired episode!
The Rundown
- We had to throw this one together pretty quickly after Chris got back from NYC on a delayed flight. Hope it’s up to our usual standard, such as it is.
- Read up on Carolinas-style barbecue, people from elsewhere, so we don’t have to keep talking about it.
- We did a (relatively) short one for once. Hooray!
- Much in the spirit of this episode, the iTunes version is going to go up a little late. Sorry, iTuners.
- Chris’s Rec: Mysteries of the Diogenes Club
- Matt’s Rec: Winter’s Bone
Comics Talked About:
- Not a one

Does that mean Chris now has to be referred to as ‘TV’s Chris Sims’ now?
Congrats, Sims.
Does this have anything to do with being the only person I know of willing to give Alvin Greene the benefit of the doubt after the primary, or simple Batmanology?
Fun show, btw. It’s a shame this was recorded before Eric Powell’s video about creator-owned works came out this weekend.
The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes has been pretty good, and you should have a look at it when it comes out on DVD. They’ve adapted a lot of early Marvel/Avengers ideas and it’s a lot of fun. The weirdest thing, though, is that it ret-conned the Nazis out of WW2. That may be something to do with getting it shown in foreign markets where they have restrictive rules on when you can show a swastika.
Yes! Got another question answered! That was a great show but don’t listen to the haters. Long shows are better. Hey. Does this mean that Chris Sims is now only one step removed from John Stewart? Sounds like a dream accomplished to me.
Chris, would it help your chances any if I sent the producers of The Daily Show e-mails telling them they need more Batman and Funky Winkerbean related humor?
