This week we welcome Jeremy Whitley, writer of the fairy-tale/adventure comic, Princeless! We discuss how he managed to land a publisher for a comic so outside the typical comics fan’s purview, what he learned from the various Disney princesses, what you learn at a convention, which ’80s movie would make the best fairy tale, whether a certain royally named celebrity will make an appearance in an upcoming issue, and much more! Plus, we answer a listener question about a form of entertainment very close to Chris’s heart.

Boy, oh boy are you going to be pissed when you get to the end of this game, Sims…HIGHLY pissed.
Really CANNOT wait to hear your response to the end of Mass Effect 3, Chris. In my opinion, it’s the equivalent of Morrison’s Xorneto fiasco at the end of New X-Men.
I believe that you can also increase Galactic Readiness enough to get the best ending using either of the two iOS games they released. I don’t use Apple and find I’m heavily reliant on pause to be competent at the combat, so that doesn’t help me, but it might help you.
Oh, and there’s been speculation that the Amazon and other customer reviews score is also being driven by the backlash against the day one DLC. I don’t have a problem with it, but some people are certainly angry enough for that to be plausible.
Great episode.
There was a web article which broke down the backstory of the Kitchen Nightmares episode into a true crime drama. Definitely worth a read.

No, the ending really is bad enough to bring the scores down that much Ethan. It was thrown together at the last moment and it SHOWS badly.
I didn’t say the ending was good, just that there were other reasons, at some review sites dozens of people were posting zero and one-star reviews the day after the game was released, and they couldn’t possibly have finished it. However, I’ve actually seen the ending now, and I think it’s ok in some ways, if you get a high enough score to get all three options I think it covers a good range of outcomes to the main Reaper plot. The thing that people have the biggest problem with, I think, isn’t that big a deal to me. In some ways it follows from the implications of the choice system for further use of the setting. What I think is true, but hasn’t been articulated so well, is that if your biggest area of interest is in the one or all of the romantic subplots than the ending is completely awful.
I finally got around to snagging Princeless after listening to this episode and it’s such an amazing comic! I totally love it and can’t wait for the trade.
