Fafhrd & the Grey Mouser facts:
The first Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser story was “Two Sought Adventure” from 1939. And if you want to describe the Mouser, all you have to say is “Ever seen a D&D thief? They’re copies of him.” The Chaykin/Mignola series adapts about 7 different Leiber stories, so you might have disqualified it as “not one story”. And Leiber is pronounced “Lye-ber”, not “Lee-ber.”

You know, when Brian Cronin featured the Spidey/Juggy fight ending as an urban legend, I thought he was exaggerating how many people misremember it. But I’ve come to realize many DO misremember it, interestingly enough, even though I think what actually happens is truer to character and strangely more affecting and rewarding than the misremembered “Spidey uses brains over brawn” ending.
