It’s an episode of firsts this week! Chris unveils a brand new segment, our guest, Evan “Funk” Davies, reveals the origin of his nickname and his methods for selecting music for his show on WFMU, and Matt reveals, for the first time ever, his plan to use Gandhi’s ghost to collect huge gambling winnings. Unfortunately, it’s also WRA’s first completely Euge-free show, but don’t hold that against us.

Matt – You have also read Mike Nelson’s Movie Mega-Cheese?!
But of course, Chris Haley.
But of course.
Matt – You know, perhaps, in the past we have been friends, but really, knowing this information I think I have to say it..
Also, I should start posting some of Sims’ hateful Young Justice texts on the internet.
Yes, Chris. Let’s be friends. Again.

Two things:
I loved last year’s Christmas Special. It’s cool that this year’s holiday jam won’t just be a re-hash, but I’m letting it be known that last year’s collection of sketches had its fans.
And secondly, Evan isn’t the only one to occasionally be taken in by Scharpling and Wurster’s bits. I listen to The Best Show in podcast form and generally save it for when I’m at work due to the certainty of profanity-free entertainment. More than a few of my customers heard the Springsteen biographer “interview” last week and had no idea that they were listening to something other than honest-to-goodness anecdotes about the Boss.
Last year’s Christmas Special was amazing. So don’t bash dat.
That War of the Worlds record is amazing. I listen to it every Halloween.
