Episode 58 – Embrace the Kookiness f/ Jim Zubkavich

We managed to get an in somehow and get Jim Zubkavich, creator of Skullkickers and editor/writer of a whole bunch of Street Fighter comics, to talk to us this week! We get Jim to explain what possessed him to allow Chris Sims to write a story in the latest issue of Skullkickers (#6, in stores now), to talk at length about Street Fighter and to answer the burning question of whether there’ll ever be a boy born who can swim as fast as a shark. Plus, our pledge drive rolls on as we welcome the first member of the Ajax Hundo Club, Ryan Holliday, to our third chair!

  1. I will always associate Udon with the spectacular Gail Simone Deadpool/Agent X run.

    Another cool show

  2. Nice show. Just out of curiosity, how much did the winner of the pledge contest donate to win? I’m curious how close I got.
    My team:
Strong Guy: Lou Ferrigno. I don’t think he’s doing anything else. Except scaring children.
Experienced Guy: Michael Douglas. He just seems like someone who would lead a superteam.
Sneaky Guy: Quentin Tarantino. I think he’d be kind of a schemer.
Guy with a boat: Teddy Roosevelt.
Girl: Paris Hilton. That way, for the inevitable eventual team member death, she can die.

  3. lol big ups to Chris for his appearance on the daily show… and of course it was somehow… batman related.

  4. Joe is an excellent choice because, if nothing else, his taunt consists of him pulling down his pants and mooning his opponent.

But Terry is awesome too, in his own Engrishy way.
