Now that Mysterius The Unfathomable is available from Amazon, you have no excuse to not buy it. Sure, we may have selfish motives as artist Tom Fowler has told me and Sims that he’ll draw us into the second volume of the book. But having read it yesterday finally catching up, it is a masterfully drawn and written series of magical, supernatural mystery and hilarious adventure. Trust us, there’s a reason that Sims & Aaron and Evie won’t shut up about how much they love Mysterius.
Also, Fowler and Jeff Parker have graced us with their presence on our show, so we love to support artists and writers we love. So pick up Mysterius the Unfathomable today.
Also, while we’re at it, join the War Rocket Ajax facebook fan page!
NEXT EPISODE: SURPRISE SPECIAL EPISODE. STAY TUNED.
People wondering why we put Alex Jones audio in the music cues in this week’s episode. Because we sat around laughing at it for way too long before we started recording. Also, this.
We’re recording with Curt and Chris, creators of the webcomic Let’s Be Friends Again, tonight! Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at 10PM EST. So if you got questions, hey, why not tweet them at Chris or email them to the show. If you’re all good, I might tell you the dream I had about being at SPX with Curt and Chris, and the Cosplay girls and the skateboard park.
Comic artist Tom Fowler will be our next guest, artist of Mysterius: The Unfathomable and Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, as well as a slew of other titles and a regular contributor to Mad Magazine. We’ll be recording with him tonight, March 17, around 10 PM EST. So tweet your questions and stay tuned for more AJAX.
I’m sorry, I forgot to include the bracket that we talked about in the episode’s show notes. Click on the image to enlarge, thanks again to David for giving us something to talk about.
What a crazy, busy week it’s been for…well, me. Probably others. So because we haven’t had time to schedule a guest AND I don’t have time to edit the episode, we’re going to be trying something interesting. Me, Sims, Rusty Shackles and Matt Wilson of The ISS are going to hop on board, hit record, and do it all the way live. No edits, no drop-ins, everything we say goes straight to the tape. We may take twitter questions in the middle, we may call random people, we may have surprises. And the winner of our hater contest will be joining us for a portion to tell us his hater story live on the show as well.
The party goes down at 9PM eastern tomorrow, eastern time (Wednesday the 10th), so EMAIL me questions at warrocketpodcast_at_gmail.com. Seriously, any question you can possibly think of, we’ll be glad to answer.
That’s right folks, tonight around 10PM EST, we’re going to be talking to Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente, writers of The Incredible Hercules and a gazillion other titles. Twitter us questions and get ready for consistent Ajax eps! Incredible, indeed.
We are BACK. And we are going to move forward, through snow, through bad Comcast service, through everything and record our Valentine’s Day episode a few weeks late with Thomas Zahler, creator of the fantastic Love and Capes on Tuesday, February 23, around 9:30 PM EST. So please, tweet and email your questions for Thom by then!
Also, STOP sending me hater stories. The deadline has passed. We have a 10+ page word document to read through. I am sure it is going to make Chris and I weep for humanity.
Last call for Hater Stories. Deadline is the end of the week, February 19, 2010.
Now that the Internet is back in my home, I’m compiling the stories and making our selections. So last call, email WarRocketPodcast_at_gmail.com. Send us your best hater story, remember, send us your best story of being hated on in real life. Make it on the funny side, rather than the depressing side. Winner will get a prize and a chance to come on the show to tell their story to the world.
Hooray. It started snowing again in DC. It looks like another foot will be added on top of the 30 inches we got last weekend that was still sitting around. If you want a good gauge how bad this snowstorm is, the post office has not delivered mail two days in the past week. Before that, the last time the post office failed to deliver the mail was over thirty years ago.
For now, I’m going back into hibernation. But if you have a moment, why not check out this video by Atlanta hip hop group The Remnant for their song, “Know This.” Niles (the third guy in the video) is a long-time fan of The ISB and War Rocket Ajax, and put me on to their stuff. They make great music, so be sure you check out their album on iTunes:
Stay frosty.
